Day 94 - Wednesday, March 6 - Travel Day

We headed east from Victoria at 9:45AM. It is 204 miles from Victoria's RV Park to Gulf Coast RV Resort in Beaumont, TX. Most of the drive went well. The only fly  in the ointment was leaving Houston. An accident had traffic backed up. It took us 40 minutes to go 5 miles. I think we arrived at Gulf Coast around 3PM.

We didn't stop for lunch. I made us each a sandwich, which we ate while we were in the traffic jam. We did make a pit stop at a rest area. It was interesting.

The main building. No staff inside, just some vending machines.

Several nice picnic areas and a small building that looked similar to a home in the background. I'm not sure what look they were going for but it looked to me like it represented a share croppers complex.
The restrooms were clean, at least the Men's was. The tile work was impressive.

On to Beaumont.
Parked and set up. Nice long pull thru, concrete aprons. There were also concrete patio areas with picnic tables, its on the other side of the car.

Kathy saw a sign for Tia Juanita's when were almost to Beaumont. She wanted to check it out.
The food was good, and plentiful.

When we parked at the restaurant Kathy said that we ate at this place the last time we were here. It looks interesting, but I don't remember it. The writing on the wall says, "It's Willy Willy Good!"

Back home I unloaded my  bike and rode 4.9 miles around the campground, to work off some of my supper. All the roadways are smooth concrete.

God it good. I pray that He blesses you and yours. He has blessed me.
