Day 88 - Thursday, February 29 - Reserved a Site

It was cool here today. I don't think it hit 60 degrees. We went to HEB in the morning and bought some groceries.

On our way back we stopped at Walgreens so that I could pick up a couple of prescriptions. I had ordered refills for two prescriptions last week. I even went into the store to tell them what I wanted to make sure they didn't screw them up. When I picked them up they were screwed up. The prescriptions were for what I needed but the way Walgreens billed them through my insurance will end up costing me a couple of hundred dollars more than if they had done it the way I wanted. I started to get a little heated and then got a grip on my tongue and apologized to the young lady for being so cranky. I thank the Holy Spirit when he convicts me that my tongue is leading me where I really don't want to go. James 1:26 & James 3:2-10.

Back home we did a little more preparatory packing, getting ready to head out tomorrow. While doing that a couple (they are from northwest Iowa) stopped as they were walking by, to say goodbye. They told us they had decided to reserve a site here for next winter. We told them we had decided the same thing. Later we walked over to the clubhouse. Kathy headed back to the puzzle room and I went to the office and made our reservation.

Yesterday I had emailed a campground in Beaumont, TX, one where we stayed once before, with a reservation inquiry. A lady called me back and we got that set up. I really want to spend some time at Rainbow Plantation in Summerdale, AL, its an Escapees campground. We have stayed there many nights over the past 13 years but haven't been able to work a stay our the past couple of years. Recently I've checked their online reservation system several times and have never been able to reserve a site for 8 consecutive days, to meet our schedule. I called today and a lady got us set up with no problem. PTL.

We will want to stay a couple of nights somewhere between Beaumont, TX and Summerdale, AL, maybe Baton Rouge, LA. We still have to decide where we want to spend a couple of night in that area and get reservations made.

God is good. I pray that He blesses you and yours. He has blessed me.
