Day 13 - Saturday, December 16 - South Texas Botanical Garden

A sunny day today! Hooray. Still quite windy until evening. Today's high was 70.

After an exciting lunch at the DQ, NOT, but the hot fudge for dessert was good. We headed on to the South Texas Botanical Garden, a 30 minute drive from the campground.

The first exhibit was the Reptile House. We didn't spend a lot of time looking at the snakes. I took no photos. But the flowers on the grounds were pleasant to look at. This flowering gnarled "tree" was interesting.

This was interesting because it was ugly.

There appeared to be quite a few of these that had been sold.
Going into the Butterfly Garden, with the hundreds of butterflies was cool.

Had to watch where you stepped.
There were lots of activities for kids.
Kathy pointed out these seats and told me to check them out. The "cushions" looked quite comfortable, they were not. It was tile over concrete/stone.

Fortunately we got back to the coach in time for me to work in another nice afternoon nap.

God is good. I pray that He blesses you and yours as He has me.
