Thursday, March 9th - Slow Day

 I washed the car this morning while waiting for the Service Contract Inspector to come look ar our coach. The Service Contract that came with the coach expires soon and we decided to buy another one with a different company. He finally arrived at 11:30. A test drive was part of the inspection so we had to disconnect the utilities and pack up before we took him on a 2-3 mile test drive.

We still have a couple of issues, faulty ignitor on one of the range burners & an ice maker that drips a little. We are in the process of taking care of them with our current Service Contract company. Hopefully we will get things taken care of with them during the  week or so. The burner ignitor might be interesting. The company that made the stove top, which was used by both Newmar & Tiffin and in a lot of high end boats, has been out of business for years. Several RV focused web sites had posts by people who had to replace their stovetops because no parts were available.

This afternoon was Meet & Greet at the Activity Center. I had a nice visit with a guy from Grand Haven, MI. He and his wife have been spending the winters at this campground for14 years, they have a park model mobile home here. 

After the Meet & Greet I downloaded several episodes of shows on Amazon Prime, so that  could watch them later at home. The WiFi service here is ABYMSAL! There is no WiFi at the sites, you have to go to the Activity Center and access the Internet via their WiFi hotspot. It couldn't possible cost that much more to have decent capacity at the single hotspot. Our cell phones provide MUCH better data speeds but we don't want to burn through all our data allowance early  in the month. 

My daily Old Testament reading today included Ezekiel 31:14 (NLT) Let no other nation proudly exult in its own prosperity, though it be higher than the clouds, for all are doomed. They will land in the pit along with all the proud people of the world.

I wonder if I often fall into the category of proudly exalting the USA for the wrong reasons. I am thankful that I was born in the greatest nation currently on the planet. The USA is not perfect but we have been the backbone that has held the free world upright for many years. To often I forget to thank God for blessing us with so many who desired to live a life patterned after Judeo Christian beliefs. As I watch our post Christian nation devolve I think that maybe I should be praying that God will send us a Jonah prophet, and that we will listen to him. Nineveh listened to Jonah and God spared the city. If we repent perhaps He will spare the USA from his wrath.
