The high today was 75 degrees, tonights low is supposed to be 62. Hallelujah! We have had enough hot weather for awhile. It was a different sight looking out through the windows when we got up this morning, all the early morning walkers were wearing jackets. Kathy and I sat outside for awhile and we both needed jackets.
This morning we went to the 10AM informational meeting where they talk about the events scheduled for the week. We were very disappointed to learn that the Sunset Dinner cruise on the Gulf had been cancelled, not enough people signed up. We had looked forward to it. A bus was going to pick us up at the campground around 5PM and take us to the coast for a 6-8PM dinner cruise. BUMMER!
After the meeting the campground manager, he runs the meeting, was sitting at a table up front. I went up to get our Sunset Cruise check back. As I briefly talked to him I was struck by a feeling that something was stressing him out. When we got back to the coach I believe that the Holy Spirit instructed me to go back to the Activity Center and pray for the man. As I walked into the building he had just picked his stuff up and was walking back to his office. I follow him and told him that it might sound strange but I believed that I was supposed to pray for him. I asked if it would be OK. He said yes. He went on to say that in a recent Bible Study he attended they discussed that we needed to be more obedient about praying for others. All I knew to ask for was that he receive the answers he was looking for. He thanked me and I returned to the coach.
A little after noon we went over to the Golden Corral for lunch, then on to H.E.B. for groceries and on to Walmart so that I could get some glue, wax and additives for our tanks.
Back at the coach I topped of our house batteries with distilled water. The last time I had let the water level get down low enough that the plates were nearly exposed. I think I added almost a gallon of water to the 4 batteries. This time it took less than a pint.
Mid afternoon I was outside when a guy with a "Lets Go Brandon" tee shirt stopped his golf cart to visit. He was curious about our Montana license plates. He had lived in Montana for 18 years, before moving to South Dakota. He has a park model home at the campground. For the past 6 years he has spend 4-5 months here. While I was visiting with him a truck pulling an enclosed blue trailer pulled into the campground. The driver blew the horn multiple times as he drove through the front part of the campground. The guy I was talking to said, "The Veggie Man has arrived." The Veggie Man doesn't have quite the selection that the couple did at Victoria Palms, but he was doing a pretty brisk business, especially considering how many people have already left the campground.
