Weather remains hot, dry and WINDY.
Friday - We went to Bass Pro and Sam's. We are still trying to find some collapsing lawn chairs that we like. No success. We also picked up some groceries at Sam's. Then it was off to the Golden Corral for lunch.
While at Golden Corral I received an email from Wholesale Warranties, the place we hope to purchase a new Service Contract from. They sent us a copy of the Inspector's report. We expected them to note that the defective stovetop burner would not be covered but what we did not expect was that the Inspector reported "loud popping noises" from the front suspension, during the test drive. In order to have the front end covered under the Service Contract we had to furnish them with an invoice showing that the front end had been repaired.
I called the place that is supposed to come out next week and fix the stovetop and the ice maker, but they don't do chassis work. Stella, that customer contact lady, gave me a phone number for South Texas Truck Repair. I called it and explained the problem. The guy said he was at a truck stop about 5 miles from us and that if I brought the coach over to the truck stop he would check out the front end. We unhooked the utilities, packed up and headed down the road. Two guys crawled under the coach, one behind each of the front tires, and had me quickly rock the steering wheel back and forth. They said everything looked good. I made their day, $250 later I had a receipt saying that the front end looked okay. I sent a copy to Wholesale Warranties, hopefully that will resolve the issue.
Saturday - We didn't do much. We went over to the Activity Center and worked on a 1,000 piece puzzle for awhile. While I was regening our water softener Kathy mentioned that she saw some guys over at the radio control race track. After I finished I walked over just as they were packing up. The cars they run are 1/10 scale. A full setup costs $500-1,000.
God is good. I pray that He blesses you and yours.
