March 17th - Marion RV Park & Campground - Marion, Illinois

Today was a travel day, but we have stopped doing the marathon days, especially when Lydia is along. She travels really well but we thing asking her to spend 12 hours in her car seat is to much.

We stopped at the Crossville Tractor Supply this morning and "topped off" our propane tank. After that we headed northwest. With the exception of two places where some much needed pothole patching was occurring in Tennessee, traffic was not a problem. It was pretty windy and blew us around a little, but nothing Kathy couldn't handle.

We stopped at the Kentucky Welcome Center, on I24, for lunch. It was warm enough that we had a picnic. There was no playground equipment but Kathy and Lydia had a good walk.

Both the Tennessee and Ohio rivers are overflowing their banks. Below is a photo of the main channel of the Ohio.

Parked at the campground.

Testing the campground swing set.

And the slide (Grammy even took a turn sliding down the slide).

She did some climbing on the monkey bars, but finally gave up on them. She just isn't quite tall enough.

She did give the spring mounted tractor heck.

It is supposed to get down to freezing tonight. Hopefully that will be the last of it we will see this winter. This winder we have experienced less than 10 days with lows below freezing. That has been plenty for me.

Tomorrow we head on to Centertown.

May God bless you and yours.
