Feb 15th AM -- The Wedding is Over

The weather was beautiful yesterday. I went out in the morning to walk on the beach and took a light jacket with me. By the time I got the 50 yards to the beach I hung the jacket on a post and continued my 3.6 mile walk in jeans and a tee shirt.

Later in the morning Doug, Kathy, Lydia & I went to the jetty/pier/playground. Doug is climbing up to the upper level in the photo below. He had already boosted Lydia up there.

She had to ride down the slide with Grandpa Doug. They went down it a lot of times. (Anthony spent most of the day doing the hair of all the ladies in the wedding party.)

I thought it was probably a half mile long but it is only 0.3 miles long. This is out at the end of it. We were trying to get Lydia to smile. She put her hands over her mouth so that we couldn't see her smile.

Looking back down the jetty toward the mainland.

We had hoped to see some dolphins in the canal but all we saw were diving ducks.

The dredging operation we saw last week is continuing. It looks to me like it probably never stops.

The beach wedding went well. Lydia and Kayla were the flower girls. Lydia came back to the motor home with us around 6:30PM. We rested some and Kathy gave Lydia a shower and dressed her in pajamas. About 8 Doug & Anthony showed up and said Kelsey sent them to get Lydia so that Lydia could dance with her. I guess Lydia ended up dancing with everyone still at the reception. She got back around 9.
There are supposed to be some dolphins playing in the surf this morning. Kathy, Kelsey & Lydia went out to walk along the beach, down to the Towers beach house and see what was going on down there. Hopefully they will get to see them. I will head down there in a few minutes.

Lydia and Kelsey fly back to Kansas City early tomorrow (Monday) morning. I think Doug and Anthony are staying overnight in Houston Monday night and then heading back to Indy on Tuesday. We plan on staying here for a few more days and leaving next Saturday. The current plan is to arrive back in Centertown on March 3rd.

May God bless you and yours.
