Yesterday I mowed lawns (Tom & Mary Lou's and mine). Probably spent about 3 hours on it. Had to stop once because of rain but the sun came out with a nice breeze and thing dried off so that I was able to start again in a few hours.
Today I cleared more brush and trees near the area where the electric lines come to the cabin.
I started piling brush on the other side of the driveway when I was cutting a couple of days ago, so that I could burn it when it dried out.
Today I decided that I would still burn the brush from several days ago but what I cut down today, and still have to cut, is more than I want to burn. You can see the piles I started in the driveway, in the top photo. In addition to that there are several trees that I felled that were to big to drag out. I also made a pretty good size pile out in the woods off the back corner of the cabin. I plan on borrowing Tom's tractor and dragging the stuff in the driveway and the trees I felled into the woods behind the cabin.
It was nice out today. It doesn't seem all that dry to me but everyone I talk to seems to think it is really dry. We probably only got about a tenth of an inch when it rained while I was mowing yesterday.
May God bless you and yours.
