I'm back in MO. I drove back last Thursday.
We did get some rain in MO while I was gone, and since I've been back. We REALLY needed it. The lawn had not been mowed for three weeks and when I mowed it it was no taller than it is when I normally mow. I think Kathy said we have had 6" of rain over the past 4 weeks and our pond is still not full.
Saturday - Smoothies at Gram's
A Monday afternoon stroller ride with Gram.
Truck Work - My truck had a cracked tail light lens when I bought it. I ordered a new pair (it was far less expensive to buy an aftermarket pair than buy 1 from GM) not long after I bought the truck. I finally tried to install them when in TN but holes for the bulb holders weren't the right size. Yesterday, with the help of my trusty Dremel tool, I modified them to fit. I also installed the locking tailgate latch. The bed cover can only be opened when the tailgate is down so now a curious person can't drop the tailgate to see whatever goodies I have in the bed.
It is HOT & HUMID here. Before complaining to much, PRAISE GOD FOR AC! I went to bed early last night, woke up around 2 AM and couldn't go back to sleep, so I got up. It was 77 degrees out at 2 AM, the same as Jacksonville, FL. (I checked, it was 10 degrees cooler down south in Crossville, TN) Yesterday the heat index was in the low 90's. Today's heat index is supposed to reach 94, then 98 on Wed and 97 on Thur. We may have to get our long johns out Friday. The high temp is forecast to be a rainy 78. It never ceases to amaze me that Crossville which is at least 125 miles south of Centertown, has fewer cooling degree (35% fewer) days AND fewer heating degree days (15% fewer).
May God bless you and yours.
