Yesterday was another good church service at Cumberland Fellowship, but before church I had breakfast at Family Ties. It was the first time I have eaten there. It was fine, better than any place near me in MO, but I'd rank it in a tie for 3rd place in Crossville. Triple D Diner & Sisters are better but neither of them are open on Saturday or Sunday.
This morning I had some things I needed to do in Crossville so I took the opportunity to have breakfast at Triple D Diner. I love their pancake breakfast. 2 eggs, 2 pancakes & bacon or sausage for $4.75.
When I arrived home Marvin Burgess was working on a gate into his pasture field. The gate is located across the road from the cabin. I visited with him awhile and provided an extra pair of hands to help a little. A little later he was back with a couple of bit tomatoes. I had purchased some sweet corn when I was in town. Lunch was w pieces of sweet corn and one of the tomatoes. Goood!
This afternoon I borrowed Tom's tractor, took my trailer back and cut up a couple of the trees I had felled when I was opening up the "lane".
Stacked in the trailer it doesn't look like that much wood but it sure felt like a lot more cutting it up and loading it. It took me around 3 hours back in the woods.Today's high temp was around 85 degrees. The heat index was probably 90. There isn't much of a breeze when you are in a "lane" with trees of all sizes on both sides of the lane.
Praise God that I am able to do this. I'd probably be a lot better off if I did it every day <grin>.
May God bless you and yours.
