We were on our way to look at a tractor this morning. It was over 50 miles to the place. We were within 10 miles when he called to tell us he had just sold it. Guess the Lord has another one in mind for us.
We were going to Columbia to take back TV #2 anyway so it was not a wasted trip. On our way back we stopped at the Walmart in Jefferson City and bought TV #3. It was an Emerson, the first two were Magnavox's. When I started unpackaging it I realized that it was the same TV as the Magnavox's, it just had a different name on it. Sure enough, it didn't work either.
We have limitations on the size of TV that will fit in the bookcase/entertainment center. Some of the 39" class will fit, but most won't. I was down to two options, Sears or Best Buy. I didn't want to get one from Best Buy so I called Sears to verify that they had a certain model in stock. The guy said he would check and call me back. That was about 6 hours ago and he still hasn't called back. I ended up buying one from Best Buy. I told the salesman I had already returned 3 TV's in the past two weeks and asked him about their return policy. He told me I could return it for up to 30 days. I told him that I thought they used to charge a re-stocking fee. He was not aware of any such policy. THIS ONE WORKS!!!! PTL!!!
We bought a new grill while we were at Sam's this morning. I'm sure Kathy is chomping at the bit waiting for me to put it together. Tomorrows high is forecast to be 103. If I don't get it put together in the morning it ain't happening. Tuesday it is supposed to cool down to only 102.
