Saturday we had lunch at Roosters. My pork chops were great, Kathy's fish taco was OK.
Then we relaxed at home.
After some relaxing I went to the "Sweatshop" in the clubhouse and did 35 minutes on the treadmill. After a much needed shower we walked over to friends for a BBQ. About 30 people attended.
The high temperature was 85. There was a nice breeze so we didn't need any AC.
When we got of the car at church this morning Kathy said, "Do you smell that?" Where we park has a lot of horse traffic and this morning the smell was different. She thought that the grapefruit trees that are maybe a mile down the road might be in bloom. When we left we went the back way home so that we could check out the trees. They are in bloom.
From the road you can see dozens (hundreds?) of grapefruit that apparantly weren't worth harvesting.
We stayed after church so that I could attend a meeting to sign up as a volunteer for the March 15th "Ranch Sorting Event" that the church is sponsoring during the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show in Mercedes, TX.
Today's high was a mostly sunny 82. The wind was blowing hard enough that it wasn't as nice as the past few days. It was more humid this afternoon but still wasn't hot enough to turn on the AC. In fact, as we walked back from the clubhouse just after dark it actually felt quite cool.
God is good. I pray that He blesses you and yours. He has blessed me.
