Days 90, 91 & 92 - Wed, Thur & Fri, Feb 26, 27 & 28 - More Nice Weather

Wednesday - At 5PM there was a campground wide potluck. About 40 people attended. The food was good and so was the fellowship. We sat with a couple from Marshalltown, IA. From 1977-80 we lived in Maxwell, IA (population 780), about 30 miles from Marshalltown.

Thursday - I haven't been diligent about finding someone to repair the dash AC in our coach. Lots of people are willing to work on the rooftop AC/heat pump units but no one wants to work on the "auto" AC on a Class A diesel pusher coach. Today I went to 2 local places that work on auto/truck AC units but neither was interested in working on ours.

I reserved our site for 5 months next year, November 17 - April 17. We hope to be here at least four months and to add the extra month cost less than $100 and will give us flexibility on when we arrive and leave.

At 4PM we went to Meet & Greet, a time for people who are here to meet one another, especially new arrivals. No new arrivals attended but 12-15 of us who did attend enjoyed visiting with one another.

Today's high was a mostly sunny 77. The overnight low this morning was 59.

Friday - I went to 4 places today trying to find someone to work on our coach AC. I finally found a place in Edinburg, TX that will work on it, 44 miles from us. Hopefully we can get over there next week and get the repairs made. One of the places I stopped was a Freightliner Service Center. The guy said they could fix it if it was a mechanical issue but if it was an electrical issue it could take a long time to track it down. He didn't really want to work on it. Freightliners labor rates for working on semi's is $219/hour, to work on an RV they charge $289/hour.

Kathy was working on a puzzle all afternoon. When I arrived back 3 neighbor guys were sitting outside visiting so I joined them. They all live in park models across the street from us. The couple whose house we were hat have a small home at Bertrand Lake, near Gwinn, MI. It's in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, about 35 miles from Marquette. We typically spend at least a week in Marquette when we are in the UP. One of the other couples have a home in Council Bluffs, IA and the 3rd couple live somewhere in Minnesota. It was interesting to learn that the Michigan couple has been married 60 years and the Iowa couple has been married over 50 years. Kathy & I have been married 57 years. The third didn't mention how long he has been married this time, He is on his 3rd wife, the first two died.

The Michigan couple lady came out with a couple of plates with servings of a dessert she makes. I walked them back to the coach and put them in the refrigerator to eat after supper. I am not much of a "sweets" eater but the dessert was tasty.

Today's high was a mostly sunny 80, the overnight low was 56. When the afternoon sun was hitting the coach it got a little warm inside but not enough to turn on the AC. In fact sitting outside in the shade, in a light breeze, I put on a long sleeve shirt.

God is good. I pray that He bless you and yours. He has blessed me.
