Bath time at Grammy's is so much fun. Getting ready to go to church with Daddy last night. Daddy was an usher.
Elaine made it here from Collins, IA with no problems. See arrived a little after 10 PM last night.
We counted as many as 7 male cardinals at the feeder, or in the tree next to the feeder, around 8 AM this morning. The snow had just started.
It was snowing quite hard by 9 AM. View out back.
Looking at where our driveway goes up through the trees.
This was the scene at 1:45. At this time we had 5-7" of snow. Most places measured 6-7". Right after I took this photo it started sleeting, but so far not much more accumulation.
We haven't even started a vehicle this morning, no reason to get out on the roads. Actually I wonder if I can actually plow the drive so that we have a chance to get up to the road. This is our second significant snowfall. We had less snow during the first one, but it was wetter.
During the first snow I managed to get to the top of the drive the first time I tried, with our 4WD tractor. As soon as I started trying to push the snow it was all over. I never made it to the top of the drive again. With this dryer snow I might be able to push it because the asphalt might not be as slippery. The forecast high for the day is 27 while tonights low is supposed to be 24.
Hope you all are having a great day. May God bless you and yours.
