Jan 12th - Warm Weather Over

I think our warm weather is over for awhile. Yesterday's high was well into the 60's. Today's high was 58, but that was at midnight last night. The temperature has dropped since then. Current temp is 39 at 4 PM. Tomorrow's high is forecast to be be only 25.

Yesterday was our volunteer day at the Habitat Re-Store. It was pretty normal. When we were in Columbia a couple of days ago Kathy found an area rug for the living room, one that she liked better than the current one which she had purchased for $20.
We took the $20 one into Habit and donated it. The guys put an $80 price tag on it, which Kathy thought was way to high. We had not been open 30 minutes when a lady bought it.

The Re-store closes at 5. After "work" we stopped at Menard's. We had planned on using one of the gift certificates we have to have supper at either Longhorn or Chili's, for supper. We walked in to Longhorn and the lady told us the wait was 30 minutes. There are only two restaurants in the US where I would wait 30 minutes for a seat. One is the Beefhouse on the Indiana Illinois state line. The other is the Demo's in either Nashville or Lebanon, Tennessee.

I had to take a long break. It is now almost 6PM. Lydia was helping me type and I finally had to just let her take control.

Kelsey came over around 10 this morning and Andy came a few hours later. They just left. It has been raining here and the rain is now turning to ice. They thought they better get going while they could still get up our driveway. Kathy thought it looked like Kelsey's car slipped backward some when she stopped before turning onto the road.

Kathy went to Jeff this morning and bought a lot of groceries. We don't have to worry about having to get out unless we want to.

Time to go watch the end of the Bronco's game.

Good night to all. May God bless you and yours.
