The weather has been bad down here, bad for south Texas. The past few days the highs have barely hit 40 and the lows have been close to freezing. Normal highs this time of year are in the high 70's. On top of the low temps it has been misting rain on and off and the wind has been bad. We have basically been staying in, reading and watching movies.
Wednesday we did get out to go to Sam's in the morning and then I went to Planet Fitness in the afternoon. Kathy trekked over to the clubhouse and worked on a puzzle.
Thursday afternoon a couple, Edith & Diego, came in and provided entertainment at the clubhouse. They were OK. They did a bunch of 60's music and did get quite a few people out on the dance floor. We listened to them while working on a puzzle.
Friday we went to the Longhorn Cattle Company for BBQ. It was OK but not good enough to go back.
Today, Saturday, we went to the clubhouse for awhile. I did 35 minutes on the treadmill and Kathy did 3 hours at the puzzle table. Once home we streamed the first 3 Reacher episodes from Season 3. I've read all the Reacher books. I liked the books and had high hopes for the series after the disaster of casting Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher in the movie. I have to wonder why the screenwriters felt the need to dramatically increase the level of profanity. Maybe west coast liberals actually can't speak without vulgar profanities.
It's 5:30, I just looked at our outdoor thermometer and the temperature is 43 degrees. I think that is the warmest I've seen in 4 days. The good news is that after today we are supposed to get a string of mostly sunny days with highs in the high 60's to mid 70's. Hallelujah!
