I woke up early and couldn't go back to sleep. I got up and went outside, in the dark, with my tablet, to do my daily scripture reading because it was a stuffy 74 in the coach. Outside it was a very humid 72, but there was a nice breeze. I wasn't outside 10 minutes until I started feeling a small drops of water occasionally hitting me. I didn't think it was raining, I thought it might be the wind blowing AC condensate around. After moving my chair I realized that it was a very light, misty rain. I stayed out for another 5 minutes before coming in, by then you could classify it as a light rain. The interesting thing was that I could feel the humidity dropping while I was sitting there. We received just enough rain to wet the concrete.
Morning chores consisted of dumping the wastewater tanks and flushing the black water tank. I also did some research on campgrounds, trying to decide where we go when we leave here on the 25th.
Breakfast was another Texas English muffin sandwich with 2 eggs, 3 Smokey Links and a slice of cheese. Dessert was a grapefruit. (Chuck, they are better with 3 Smokies, you need to lock up the dog before you start cooking.)
Mid morning we took off to look at some campgrounds around here. We probably drove around 50 miles by the time we returned. We only looked at 3 campgrounds, but we drove through some interesting small towns.
We had lunch in Santa Rosa, at The Oldies restaurant.
The "waiter" was a nice older guy who spoke VERY broken English. No menus, he described the two specials and told we could also order anything we wanted. Kathy ordered one special and I ordered the other one. We had only the vaguest idea of what we were getting.
