First I pray that you all had a pleasant Thanksgiving. We (every one of us) in the US is blessed to live in a nation so good that millions (CBS reported that Immigration caught 2.4 million of them in FY2022) are willing to risk their lives (CBS reported that 853 "migrants" have died while illegally crossing the US/Mexican border during the past 12 months), to taste of the opportunity we have here.
The past few months, parked here in central MO, have been relatively uneventful. The first week we were here we experienced multiple days in a row with temps in the 90's. A couple of weeks ago we experienced 9 out of 10 days with overnight lows below freezing, the lowest being 17 degrees. One of those days the high was below freezing. One night we had enough snowfall that Nolan, our great-grandson, built a snowman the next morning, before going to school.
I'm pleased with the performance of the coaches heating and cooling systems. The heat pumps keep us warm until outside temps drop into the low 30's and then the propane furnaces take over. We had no problem staying warm, even during the 17 degree night. Kathy and I did fill around thirty 50 gallon trash bags with leaves. I used them for skirting to minimize the amount of cold air blowing under the bottom of the coach.
Our current plan, Lord willing, it to leave here Saturday, Dec 3rd, drive part of the way to Iuka, MS, park for the night and then continue on to Lakeshore Custom RV, in Iuka, on Sunday. We have an appointment to have the annual fluids and filter changes done while there. Once that is complete we will head for Palm Springs Oasis RV Resort in Cathedral City, CA. We check in there on Dec 23rd and will be there for a month.
I pray God's blessing on you and yours.
