April 30th - Back in Tennessee

I drove back to TN today. The trip was uneventful. Drove through some mist a couple of times but no real rain. Kathy decided to stay in Missouri. I plan on being here for about a week. Don't have anything that I have to get done but I do want to clear out some of the brush along the road. It rained a LOT here the past couple of days. I may try planting some more grass seed. Some of what I planted last trip has come up but we still have some big bare spots.

I haven't posted much for awhile so below are some recent photos.

This girl likes her soup. She doesn't want to waste any of it.

She was tickled to get a package from her Gpa's in Indy. She had left her Bass Pro ball cap in Anthony's car when they were out over Easter. He mailed it back to her.

Below are two old photos showing the bamboo along the dam and side of our yard.

The two photos below are the "after" photos, after cutting down most of the bamboo.

Next I need to start removing the scrub trees, anything less than 3" in diameter, to give the real trees some room to grow. It should also open up our view.

This is the first year that we have seen the dogwoods bloom on our Missouri property. We have quite a few of them.

Andy, Kelsey, Kathy & Lydia have been mushroom hunting several times. Andy found one during one outing and Kelsey found one during another outing.

Time for bed.

May God bless you and yours.
