HOT again today. At 6:30 it is still 96 with a heat index of 100. Actual high tomorrow is supposed to be 103.
I spent about an hour mowing the high spots in the lawn. It has not rained here for weeks and in the 10 day forecast the only possibility of rain is 30% one of the days.
Kathy spent the day cleaning and packing. She checked to see if it might be possible to get Lydia to come along, by putting her in our carry on luggage. Not really, but Lydia did think it was fun to be carried around in the bag.
It will probably be in the mid 70's when we fly out of Kansas City on Sunday. The temperature will be about the same when we land in Seattle, but the humidity will be about 30% lower.
After a week cruising Alaska with high temps in the 50's and lows in the 40's I may not want to come back to the high 80's forecast for our return to MO. Although if it rains every day we are in AK, as is forecast, I may be ready to come back.
Tomorrow is a work day at church. We may go over for an hour or two in the morning since we don't plan on leaving for Kansas City until around 3 PM.
I hope it is cooler where you are. May God bless you and yours.
